About this directory

This site is an independent directory of Pennsylvania DEP-certified companies that install, service and test radon mitigation systems in and around York, Pennsylvania. Radon is one of those problems most homeowners meet once, usually in the middle of a house sale, with a number on a report and no idea who to call. Mitigation contractors, testing-only firms, home inspectors and water treatment companies all do different parts of the job. This site exists to make the choice legible.

How listings work

Listings are compiled by hand from public sources: each company's own website, its Google Business Profile, trade directories and the DEP Radon Services Directory. Nobody pays to be listed. Removing a listing costs nothing; a company that wants to come off the directory only has to ask.

Featured placement is a paid product. It moves a listing to the top of the relevant pages and adds a badge, and it is always labelled as such. It does not change what the entry says and it is not an endorsement.

We are not affiliated with any firm listed here. Every company on the site either prints its DEP certification on its own website or appeared on the DEP certified-mitigator or certified-tester list when the listing was added. We do not monitor certification status afterwards and we do not verify insurance or qualifications. Check the certification number in the DEP directory before engaging anyone.

The phone number

Calls to the number on this site reach a person, not a contractor. We help you make sense of the test result and point you to the right kind of firm. We do not test, quote, install or mitigate anything ourselves.

Corrections

If something is wrong, out of date, or a company has closed or lost its certification, tell us and it will be fixed. Accuracy is the only thing that makes a directory worth using.
